Wanstead's annual art trail will return in September and artists interested in putting their work on show are invited to an advisory meeting this month.

"Now's the time to enrol for the ninth Art Trail Wanstead. You will need to join Art Group Wanstead and pay your trail fee (£25) before the end of June," said Donna Mizzi.

The trail – which last year featured work by 150 artists – will run from 8 to 23 September, with over 50 High Street businesses and community venues expected to take part, showing all types of visual art, from painting to photography, sculpture and installations.

This year's (non-compulsory) theme is 'the human condition', and amateur and professional artists are encouraged to use the widest possible interpretation.

An art trail meeting will be held at Wanstead House on 12 June from 6.30pm. Visit
