Campaigners seeking to introduce 20mph speed limits on roads in Wanstead and South Woodford will be holding a question-and-answer session at Wanstead Library next month.

"The expert panel taking questions will reveal the many benefits this can have. For example, making the streets less hostile for people walking or cycling and reduced noise and pollution," said Elisa Brady of the 20's Plenty for Us group.

"We are not giving up on the rest of Redbridge, but a smaller, cohesive area is at least a start... As a group of local residents, with local knowledge of every street, we can put forward a comprehensive plan. Essentially, the target area is the part of Redbridge inside the North Circular."
