The car park walls of Majestic Wine on Wanstead High Street have become the canvas for two graffiti artists as part of preparations for September's art trail.

"Earlier in the year, a friend of mine forwarded me an email that was from Art Trial Wanstead... I went along to the meeting and mentioned the best way for the public to see and truly understand that graffiti can be a very beautiful and interesting interactive part of everyday life would be to have a few walls, or where building work is being done on the hoardings outside," said Wanstead resident and graffiti artist Robert Fuidge, who paints under the moniker 2cane.

"I talked with the Majestic manager about what I wanted to do and he was happy for me to go ahead... I am now looking into other hoardings and walls in the area to see if I can get permission to paint them as well."

The mural – which features a double vision effect – was co-created by fellow artist Core.
