The East London Humanists will host a discussion about Down's syndrome (DS) and eugenics at Wanstead Library this month.

"In Iceland, due to medical advances and liberal abortion laws, Down's syndrome has virtually been eliminated. But is that the sort of society we really want?" asks June Scott, the mother of a woman with DS who will lead the discussion on 22 October from 7.30pm (visitors welcome; free).
