Nutritional therapy is an excellent at addressing and supporting ongoing symptoms and conditions as well as acting as a preventative to maximise your current health and wellbeing.

Nutritional therapy is suitable and safe for all age groups and can treat a wide array of symptoms and conditions:

• Lacking energy/fatigue problems, CFS, fibromyalgia
• Digestive issues/conditions (i.e. IBS, IBD, SIBO, bloating, flatulence, acid reflux, poor absorption, constipation, abdominal aches)
• Hormonal imbalance (i.e. PCOS, PMS, menopausal, heavy periods, fertility, thyroid and adrenal, men’s hormone health)
• Pre-conception, pregnancy and fertility
• Poor cognitive/memory/concentration
• Allergies and intolerances
• Persistent colds/coughs, infections, low immunity
• Asthma
• Babies and children’s health (i.e. allergies, asthma, eczema, colic, hyperactivity)
• Skin complaints and inflammation (i.e. eczema, psoriasis, acne)
• Blood sugar regulation and insulin sensitivity, diabetes, PCOS
• Stress and associated issues
• Poor sleep/insomnia
• Depression, anxiety, low mood, mood fluctuations
• Can't shift weight or find it hard to gain weight
• Joint aches/pains (i.e. arthritis, gout)

Everyone is unique and we all have different understandings of what health means to each of us. For some it may resolving or alleviating a chronic condition and managing symptoms, others it may be advice and support and for others it may be a general health MOT. For example, learning how to regulate your blood sugar can result in increased satiety, better mood, sleep, increased energy, weight loss and prevention of metabolic conditions like diabetes, hormonal imbalances and cardiovascular problems.

Nutritional therapy works wonderfully alongside other disciplines like counselling, body work, acupuncture, homeopathy and herbalism, naturopathy and children's occupational therapy.

My nutritional therapy clinical training was tailored around the functional medicine model which is a client focused, whole body systems orientated approach that combines an holistic ethos with functional medicine testing, nutraceuticals and addressing deficiency and chronic conditions with the use of real foods and or therapeutic levels of supplements (if appropriate).

This allows a comprehensive case history to be taken which incorporates not only dietary habits but also physical activity, occupation, lifestyle and other factors which may influence our emotional and psychological wellbeing to build an individual nutritional and lifestyle plan.

Our body systems do not work in isolation and it is this picture which gives me as your practitioner and you as the client, the power to begin to take charge of your path to health.
