Controversial Woodbine Place redevelopment plans resubmitted

A controversial plan to demolish a row of single-storey shops at 12–15 Woodbine Place has been resubmitted to Redbridge Council.

If approved, the site – which is home to Best Turkish Kebab, Wanstead Hairdressers and Bambini – will be replaced with a three-storey development with ground-floor commercial units and office space above. The amended plans include a reduction in the height of the proposed building. The site is located within the Wanstead Village Conservation Area and has locally listed status.

Comments on the application can be made until 22 September.
