Wanstead mum walks 100 miles for baby heart charity

WVD November 2026 — tiny tickers

A Wanstead mum has raised over £4,000 for the baby heart charity Tiny Tickers.

“My daughter, Amelia, had heart surgery at just seven days old… So, I decided to take on The 100 Challenge to help Tiny Tickers give babies with congenital heart disease the best possible start in life. The funds will help train sonographers to detect heart defects during pregnancy,” said Siân Nash, who completed a 100-mile walking challenge during October.

Every year, one in 100 babies is born with a serious heart condition. Visit wnstd.com/nash
