Volunteers clear invasive plant from local stretch of River Roding

Volunteers have removed an invasive plant from a local section of the River Roding.

“After 99 hours of arduous voluntary work over the past month, we have cleared Himalayan Balsam from a 1.5-mile stretch of the river in the Wanstead area. This invasive plant swiftly destroys river banks and can severely impact biodiversity if its seeds are left to disperse.
