Authorities join forces to tackle fly-tipping on Wanstead Flats

Epping Forest’s Enforcement Team joined forces with the Metropolitan Police and the Environment Agency on Wanstead Flats earlier this month to conduct an operation aimed at suppressing fly-tipping.

“A total of 73 vehicles were stopped, which led to four being seized for no insurance, four drivers reported for failing to have a valid waste licence and four environmental warnings issued for missing lower-tier waste carrier licences… Fly-tipping is an environmental crime, and we will not tolerate it,” said a spokesperson.
